Both of us have family and friends traveling to the great state of Texas to be with us on our special day. We know that some of you will be embarking on a road trip and some of you will be coming by plane. The closest airports to us are DFW and Dallas Love Field. Please visit their websites to get a complete listing of flight departures and arrival times.
The farm is located in between Dallas and Ft. Worth, so any hotel in Dallas or Ft. Worth will be fairly close. However, there is a race at Texas Motor Speedway the weekend of the wedding, so traffic is a big factor. Everyone MUST follow the detour route to get to the farm (below).
***PLEASE NOTE
Because of the heavy race traffic, there will be a detour. DO NOT take hwy 114 the entire way. It will be shut down. Please allow time for traffic.
From Dallas:
Take 35E to 183N From 183 take 114W Near trophy club, 114 splits and you MUST TAKE 170W 170W leads to 35W headed north After getting on 35W, immediately take the exit for Haslet (Westport Pkwy) Take a left on Westport Pkwy (stop sign) and continue past the South entrance of Alliance Airport until you cross railroad tracks into downtown Haslet. This is where Westport Pkwy turns into Main st. You will come to a stop sign at Movement church. Take a right to stay on Main St. and continue North (it turns into John Day Road) for about 4 miles until you come to another stop sign (you'll see a large group of metal mailboxes directly across from you) and take a right to head North on John Day Rd. Look for an iron gate entrance on your left about one mile up which will be adorned with sings for our wedding.
If coming from S. Dallas, take 30W to loop 820N, pass 121 and stay to the left (continuing on 820W), then exit 35W going North and follow directions above from there. The exit for Haslet will be 8 or 9 miles up. If traffic on 35 is backed up, we recommend exiting 287N, and taking that to FM 156N. Off of 156, take a left on Main St. in Haslet, and follow the directions above.
If coming from other areas of the metroplex, please contact us with any questions leading to these roads. Again, 114 will be closed at the intersection of 35W.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
