We will be spending our honeymoon in the Riviera Maya, located on the eastern portion of the Yucatán Peninsula just south of Cancun - WE ARE SO EXCITED! There are so many different activites that we can partake in, but if we just want to relax we are steps away from the crystal blue beach!

Some of the main attractions in the area include: snorkeling, swimming in cenotes (one of our favorites), zip-lining, swimming with dolphins and guided jungle tours.  Archeology is also a big tourist draw in the area and a huge interest of ours.  There are popular archeological sites such as Tulum on the coast, Chichen Itza and Coba located some distance inland.  The self-named ecoparks of Xcaret and Xel-Ha also include some smaller archeological ruins as part of their attractions.   

We can't think of a better place to spend our first couple of weeks as Mr. and Mrs. Johnson!!
