For those of you traveling by air, we suggest that you book your flights to Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, and then rent a vehicle for the drive up to Sedona.  The drive will take just under two hours and you will save quite a bit of money by booking a flight and car in Phoenix vs. flying directly to Sedona.

If you are planning to drive to Sedona, please plan for a bit of an altitude adjustment as you approach Sedona.  It doesn't matter if you come in to Sedona from the north through Flagstaff or from the south through Phoenix, you will need to drive up and down some steep grades either way so please make sure your vehicle is ready for the trip.
