Bride

After surviving busy seasons and a marathon together, marriage was inevitable, but when was always the mystery.  The morning was spent with some good friends exploring farmer’s market and then having brunch in Hillcrest.  Later that day, Christian took advantage of the bottomless mimosas April had at brunch and easily convinced her to go for a run.  Getting ready April was more concerned about being on time for dinner plans that evening that she didn’t think twice about Christian packing a camel pack for a two mile run.

There was a slight drizzle as they started up the mountain and man - was there elevation! After a few minor setbacks – Christian forgot the tripod, April fell – they made it to the top.  They celebrated by singing the national anthem as the flag at the top waved in the wind.  It was a precious moment, especially since the clouds parted enough for them to enjoy a beautiful sunset.

April started getting antsy to leave – it was cold and dinner with a friend was in an hour or so.  Seizing the moment, Christian bent down to take a sip of water from his camel pack and the ring!  When he turned around, April saw the biggest grin ever.

“Marriage is a lot of work, but so was climbing this mountain but we did it and did it together.”  There was some knee bending, an ecstatic "YES", hugs and kisses, and 1,374 images from the GoPro!
