On Friday, September 30^th 2011, Jason enlisted the help of Heather and Ashley R. to meet him at Zale’s to help in picking out a very important ring.  With his hands clammy and nerves racing, Jason purchased an engagement ring and headed for Bonnie’s parent’s house.  There he asked her father and mother, Ken and Dee, for their daughters hand in marriage.  In tears, they both greeted him with open arms and their full blessing.  He then went to his parent’s house, Stan and Mindy, showed them the ring and they were equally thrilled.  The following day, Jason and his helpers made plans for a surprise beach picnic. At a secluded beach inlet, Jason had Ashley and Heather set up Bonnie’s favorite indulgence: a cheese platter with fruit and crackers, on a blanket garnished with fresh flowers and champagne.  Jason walked Bonnie down the beach to the private area where he revealed a surprise picnic.  Completely oblivious to what might have been an apparent sign of what was to come; Bonnie hugged Jason and thanked him for her surprise.  Jason fidgeted nervously as he waited for his crew to get in place.  Once the signal was given, Jason reached for a glass bottle that was buried behind the basket of cheese, which contained a rolled up note.  Finally realizing what was going on, Bonnie struggled to catch her breath.  Jason asked Bonnie to stand and read her message in the bottle.  Shaking and crying, Bonnie stood (kind of) and unrolled the tattered paper which read: “Will You Marry Me”.
