We both believe that God and Eric's dearly beloved late Grandmother and Sue's dearly beloved late Grandfather brought us together - albeit, through the means of an unexpected dating website. Our first date was on August 11th, 2014. We each prepared for this first date very differently. Eric wore a collared, button-up shirt tucked into nice slacks and arrived at the Hillcrest Brewing Company early. Sue woke up from a nap 10 minutes prior to the date and threw on shorts, a tank top, and flip flops and arrived 15 minutes late. Eric knew it was love at first sight. Sue thought, "he is way too handsome and too good for me."

We went on to share a flight of beer and then have frozen yogurt at Fiji yogurt while listening to each other's favorite songs on YouTube. Eric then walked Sue home and gave her a respectful hug, no attempt at a first kiss. It turned out to be the most memorable, incredible first date. And so our story began....

In our first two years, we have been on many adventures and have built a happy, loving home together. Our first trip together was to San Francisco where we had the most romantic evening on Forbes Island. From San Fran we took a ride over the bridge and attended a Raiders' game in RAIDER NATION. There Eric successfully converted Sue into an Oakland Raiders fan. We have also been very fortunate to visit places such as Yosemite, Napa Valley, and Cambria. We cheered for Kobe Bryant in his 5th to last game at a Lakers game. We also adopted the most wonderful pup, Creasy Bear. In Eric's words, "he is the center of our joy."
