We knew early on that this was it! We had found the ONE. But when would he propose and make it official?? You may know that Sue is "slightly" obsessed with Christmas. So she was expecting/hoping for a Christmas proposal December 2015. Well... December came and went.

We had a big trip planned in March, so Sue then was expecting/hoping for a proposal on the trip. You may also know that Sue has never been a big fan of Valentine's Day. So... unbeknownst to Sue, Eric planned the proposal on VALENTINE'S DAY 2016 in order to keep the element of surprise. Sue did not get her hair done or nails done, she did not see it coming on this day. Eric took Sue on a private boat cruise in the San Diego Bay. The boat pulled in between the Midway and our favorite statue of the Sailor kissing the Nurse. The Captain turned off the motor so he could get pictures of Sue and Eric next to their statue. As the Captain took pictures of us Eric turned to Sue and started saying the most beautiful, wonderful things Sue had ever heard. Stunned, Sue asked, "now!!??" Eric smiled, nodded one time, and said, "yes, now." He then got down on one knee and asked Sue to be his wife. Of course, She. Said. YES!!!! Needless to say, Sue now LOVES Valentine's Day.
