Where do I even start with these two crazy kids? Having known Jaclyn for well over fifteen years I guess you could say I have seen the good, bad and the ugly. I recall all the countless conversations I had with her mom and her grandma MoMo about the kind of man it would take to sweep Jaclyn off her feet. The conversations always ended with the three of us laughing as if that man existed. Little did we know...
I will never forget hanging out with Jaclyn the weekend she met Casey because I knew from that moment her life would never be the same. She had a twinkle in her eye that I had never seen her have before! Being the protective person that I am, I made her invite him over to make sure I agreed on him being a keeper. I knew that he must be pretty special because he was willing to hang out with her two days in a row and even meet her best friend that she warned him about! After hanging out with Casey for a couple hours I felt as if I had known him a lifetime. That night I said a long prayer for the Lord to bless his soul, for he knew not what he was getting himself into! Kidding!
One thing that stands out above all things with these two is the way they each compliment each other. I am not talking about Casey sending Jaclyn sweet little text messages about how pretty she is (although he totally does this every single day), but by the way they lift each other up, push the other further, brighten the other's day, and move mountains together. Nothing seems to get between their love, admiration and devotion for one another. It truly is fairy tale that I hope each and everyone gets to experience in their lifetime, myself included.
There is no limit to the love that will grow, the memories to be made, and the lives to be changed by these two. I look forward to the months of planning ahead for that one special night that will end this chapter and begin the one to eternity. I hope you will all join me on their wedding night in wishing them all the luck in the world. I can't speak for Casey, but I am thrilled to get a new brother to pick on!
I also want to share a few words of wisdom for you two to live by: "Happy wife, happy life!"
