Let's just say that not much of anything gets by me, so if you are going to plan a surprise then you better plan really hard and have at least two backup plans lined up! 

The night Casey proposed was not just one of our typical curl up on the couch and kiss another Monday goodbye kind of nights.  It was his birthday and his mom and grandma were coming over after dinner to open presents.  Casey was definitely acting fishy all day which is not like him so I had no clue what was in store or what was going on.  We all had a great dinner and depending on how well you know me, you can probably guess that I was racking my brain on how I would beat everyone to the house to wipe the counters down one last time! 

We finally get home and Casey begins to open his presents from his grandma and I remember wondering "well, that's certainly odd that his grandma would buy him jewelry" until I realized it was for me.  It will definitely always be a birthday celebration to remember...the day that gave him life will forever change my life.
