We met during a National Disaster in New Orleans, LA. 

Steve & I are both Red Cross Disaster Team Members. We met while running the Bulk Distribution site in New Orleans for Hurricane Isaac. I was his boss and he was the "Yard Dog", running the forklift, loading ERV's (Emergency Response Vehicles) with needed supplies and playing security until the rel security guards arrived to relieve us.

After our assignments ended Steve went back home to Idho and I went back to New York. We kept in touch through emails, facebook and phone calls.

Three years ago, Steve called and said he was relocating to New York and would see me soon! We have been together ever since.
