Russell proposed to Kaileigh on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Cheekwood Bontanical Gardens in Nashville, TN. Russell put a ton of thought into the proposal. He went to Cheekwood by himself two times before he propsed, he wanted to find the perfect location. Also, he contacted a friend and her husband to come and take sneak pictures of the proposal. Then he requested off of work, which was Kaileigh's first hint. They had went and looked at rings a few times, but the real hint came when he said they should go to Cheekwood on October 21st. Russell is usually not the date planner, so Kaileigh knew something was up. Sunday, the 21st was such a nice day out, so they dressed nicely and headed to Cheekwood. When they got there they began looking around. Kaileigh had a feeling he was going to propose, so every time they stopped to look around she got really nervous. After 45 minutes of walking around, Russell grabbed her hand and lead her to a side of the mansion there. He said how great they were together and how she was his best friend. He said he could not live his life without her and then got down on a knee and asked her to marry him. She said YES! and then they preceeded to hug. Then Kaileigh realized Russell had set it up to have that special moment saved forever with photographers to capture the moment. What a great idea! They took a few pictures and then sat for a while and enjoyed that moment of being engaged. Then they walked around a little more and had a celebratory lunch at the cafe there.   Then the wedding plan began!!
