So for my birthday, we planned a couples trip, with two of our really good friends Ruby & Wayne, to Cocoa Beach, Florida. We rented a beautiful condo within steps to the beach. On the evening of September 26th, Blake and our friends planned a casino cruise. I had no idea where we were going, but I was so excited once we got there. I remember walking onto the boat and through security and Blake got stopped by the metal detectors and I'm thinking to myself always something, so I continue to keep walking so I could take pictures in the lobby before actually heading onto the boat. I remember thinking to myself why is it taking so long for Blake to make it through security. But he finally did and we went aboard the boat. Once we headed out on the ocean, it was so nice and relaxing just to sit on the deck and feel the breeze and listen to the sounds of the water rocking back and forth. At some point we decided to go inside of the boat to play some slot machines and eat dinner and I remember feeling so sick all of a sudden, yep I was sea sick. The rest of the night was pretty much a bust from there on. I just sat on the deck trying to sleep and be still because I was so nauseous. Unbeknown to me, Blake was planning to propose to me that night!! Which is why he was stopped by security because he didn't want to take the ring out of his pocket. I remember him comforting me and rubbing me to make sure I was ok and at one point he weirdly got down on one knee, but got back up and sat down without saying a word. Even at that point I had no idea what he was doing. 

So the next day, September 27, 2014, we planned to go to dinner. All of us got dressed up and went to a really nice restaurant on the pier. The view was amazing although it was dark outside, but the restaurant sat on the end of the pier which extended out over the ocean and gives you a 180 view of the ocean. So, I was really enjoying myself, I had a couple glasses of wine and maybe a drink or two. And, all of a sudden Blake starts talking and says his infamous phrase "I'm not about that TV stuff" and I'm looking at him like what…what are you talking about now?! LOL and I look over at Ruby and Wayne and they are cheesing, so I'm thinking ohhkkkk... to myself and Blake starts to cry and tells me how much he loves me and I am his best friend and he wants to spend the rest of his life with me. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Now looking back on all of this all I remember is crying and hugging him, because it was all so unexpected that he was going to propose to me! I must have been thinking to myself YES OF COURSE I'LL MARRY YOU! But I don't think I responded out loud at first. But, I did verbally tell him yes of course. This is undoubtedly one of the best moments in my life. I was all too excited to share the news with members of my family and of course Little Miss Princess Cici! I really want to thank Ruby and Wayne for being a part of that moment and helping Blake to execute that night. Although the original plan for the proposal fell apart, I could not have imagined anything better than that night!
