Sometime in Mid-Late July, 2011 -  When Walter and I first got engaged I talked him into going down and doing some bridal registries!  Bed, Bath and Beyond was absolutely amazing!  They took the time to sit and talk with us and help us out with what we needed to pick out.  Next we went to Walmart, that on the other hand was not such a pleasant experience.  First they kept my ID when I checked out the scanner gun doo hickey, what do you think I am going to do with your lazer pointer thingie?!.  Anyhow the lazer thingie only has a limit of 200 items to have on your registry, so we were going around scanning items and the lazer thingie died on us!  We were right in the middle of the gadgets, and as all of you know my man loves his gadgets!  He was so upset when it died!  I said well maybe we hit our 200, and he said "But we were in the middle of the gadgets!" I was laffin so hard.  We took it up to the jewelry counter where the lady that was helping us was at, by the way, she had a personality of of slug!  Anyhow we could not get her attention so another lady steped up to help us.  As it turned out the battery had died and we were able to get through the beloved gadgets!  When we went to go and register at JCPennys I thought Walter was going to rip the gun off of the wall cuz it was like in this space ship kinda looking thing that the computer monitor was on and the guns light up when you can take em off the wall.  Well they lit up, but we were not able to get them to unhook.  The lady there was not much more help but we finally got it and went off with our lazer scanner doo hickey like old pros!  It is so much fun just to scan what you would like.  It is like a big Christmas Wish List!

8/15/11 - Changes - - -  Well, we were going to have our reception at the Best Western Tacoma Dome, but we have decided that we are just going to do a potluck in the basement of the church after the ceremony!  it is much more cost effective and that way we dont have to decide who is not going to be able to come to the reception.  I know the ladies in my life will make  it absolutely perfect for us :)

Kathy Reiley has been so kind to volunteer to make our wedding cake for us :) and Jean & Joe  have gratiously offered to pay for it for our wedding present!  God is so good to have put these people in our lives to make our wedding day perfect!

8/25/11 - Got it!  We found the perfect invitation!  Colors are perfect too :) Still ordering a few more samples to make sure that we get the perfect one, but I am pretty certain I have found it

Great News!  I heard from the church that we will be able to have the church from 2 till 7 pm on our wedding day, which will be plenty of time to have our wedding and reception!

9/1/11 -  Florists!!!  Oh my gosh, one of the most fustrating things I have had through this whole planning process!!!  It is so hard for me to get the ideas that I want to come across!  My future sister-in-law has been the best through this whole thing.  She tells me to breathe alot and slow down..  You know me once my mouth or fingers get going watch out!!  But the florists seem to have the idea that my time is not that valuable because our wedding is so far out.  So it kinda feels like we get put on the back burner and they will get to us when they get a chance.  It is so hard to get three competitive quotes for the same type of ideas. I know blue flowers are hard to come by, but come on.  Use some freaking imagination and I dont want wildflowers, they look like weeds.  Naw, I am good.  So Shelly and I are off to the craft store tomorrow to go and play with some flowers and take my trusty camera with me.  Wish us luck and we take over the fake flower section at Michaels!  Stay tuned for more stories as we work through the journey of planning our wedding

9/2/11 - Well Shelley and I went off to the craft store as planned!  I was so discouraged with the flowers that we have to choose from!  None of them are what I am looking for!  They have flower people there but of course they were not availiable at that time.  We got there at 1 and she had left at 11 :(  So, I decided that we should go to this florist that has been on the corner of center and union as long as I can remember.  So we went to the florist.  The owner just happened to be running the show while we were there and she was very informative and gave me the boost that I have been looking for.  She told me the colors that I have chosen will be absolutely perfect and she will make them work.  She will work off of the colors and mix in some more shades and it will look absolutely beautiful!  She told me the one thing I needed to do was to pick out my dress.  Because the dress dictates the whole wedding!  Never thought about it that way, but she did make lots of sense.  So, Shelley and I got back in the car and off to Davids Bridal to try on some dresses!  Shopping always makes the bride feel good :)  Unfortunately Shelley was not able to stay and watch me try on the dresses, and plus had to book an appointement.  So I took her to her car and packed up Jennifer and the girls and off to find the dress!  I tried on 3 different dresses, but I wasnt sure about them and I wanted to try on a few more so I booked another time slot for Monday!

9/3/11 - Today we are off to go grocery shopping and meet Alyson McKenzie for our engagement pictures!  We met down on the Gig Harbor Waterfront and had a great time playing on the beach and Alyson snapping pictures of us just being us which is the best way to be :)  We were actually able to get into the church so I was able to show her the lay of the church and we took some pictures of us in front of some stained glass and my ring on a bible verse which is going to be one of my favorite pictures I am sure.  Then we continued along the waterfront and stopped at a few places and took more and more pictures.  We stopped at the park and had a picnic for dinner :)  Sandwiches and white cheddar popcorn along with some grapes and cherries :)  Yummy!  We ended up back down on the public dock and the photo shoot was complete!  At the end of the day she took 350 photos.  She said well we are bound to find a few that we like out of all of these!  Most of all we all had fun doing it and I am sure it will show through on the photos :)

9/5/11 - Well for the second fitting, Jennifer was not able to make it but Dianna and Shelley were my audience!  I tried on 4 dresses before I found "The Dress"  the only thing I am going to say about it, is that it is Ivory and litterally made fore me :)  I can't wait for you all to see it on our wedding day :)

9/8/11 - Walter and I have decided that we are going to be going to San Francsico for our honeymoon!  I am so excited!  There are so many things to do and see there we are going to have 4 fun-filled days in and around the bay area :)  I have set up a honeymoon site so if you would like you can donate towards our honeymoon fund :)  Here is the site, and I will also put it on our registry link on this page too :)  http://www.honeymoonwishes.com/Honeymoon-Registry-117446-.html
