BACKGROUND:
When we started looking for a venue, we knew that we wanted something outdoors and out of the ordinary. Something that would wow our guests and be a hidden treasure unlike any other venue available. We know that's a lot to ask!
After months of searching the internet and never finding something that really spoke to us, we found, by accident, the Enchanted Forest. It looks exactly like the name suggests - tucked away on a private estate in Fallbrook, CA, the "Castle in the Valley" turned out to be everything we could have hoped for and more!
Our ceremony will be held under a gazebo amongst huge trees, family and friends.
A SPECIAL REQUEST FROM US:
We want you, our friends and family, to be fully present with us during our wedding ceremony. As a result, we ask that you turn off and put away your phones, cameras, iPads and other electronic devices during this very important moment. We have an amazing photographer who will capture every moment and we will be happy to share these with you AFTER the wedding.
We would, of course, absolutely LOVE to see all of the amazing photos you are sure to take AFTER our unplugged ceremony. Please use our wedding hashtag: #nelsonwedding52315
WHEN:
Saturday, May 23rd, 2015. The ceremony starts at 4:30PM.
Formal attire, please!
WHERE:
The Enchanted Forest, Fallbrook, CA
No, we didn't forget to give you a street address. There is no address. No, seriously. Only 10 lucky couples get to be married at this amazing venue in 2015 and the owners want to keep this hidden gem hidden! Be sure to take a copy of these directions with you - there is limited cell service so a printed copy is a must! It's an hour off the freeway - we're not kidding! You will drive through tree tunnels and come out the other side at wrought iron gates to amaze.
HOW TO GET THERE:
SOUTH ON I-15
Take I-15 to Rancho California Road. Exit and go west. It is about 17 miles and takes about an hour once you exit the freeway. Go through the light at Jefferson and Diaz. Continue up Rancho California Road until it intersects about four miles later with De Luz - Murrieta Road. Go left. Check your odometer at this point. Stay on De Luz Road for about 10 mils. You will see only two main crossroads - Carancho and Cameron. Keep going past both. About six miles past Cameron you will cross a creek bed and see the "De Luz Ecology Center" on your left. It is a little tan schoolhouse. Next, you will come to a "T" intersection. Look for a wedding sign. Make a hard right and go across another creek bed. Go left at the first street, Calle Roxanne. Look for another wedding sign. Go to the top where you will see another Calle Roxanne sign. Go left. Follow the parking signs. De Luz Road has no traffic lights and very few cross streets - it is just a pretty country drive.
NORTH ON I-15
Take I-15 and exit Mission Road in Fallbrook. Go left after exiting and go over the freeway to the next intersection, Mission Road. Go right and take Mission all the way into Fallbrook. When you get to teh traffic light at Mission and Main Street go one more block to the next traffic light. This is Pico Avenue. Go right. Pico becomes De Luz Road a block or so after you turn at the light. Look at your odometer as you make the turn at Pico, about 10 miles later, you will arrive. De Luz Road has mile markers at half-mile intervals. Stay on De Luz Road and do not turn off for about 9.5 miles. Shortly after getting on De Luz Road, you will come to a fork in the road. Go left. DO NOT take Sandia Creek! About 8.5 miles in, look for the CA Dept. of Forestry on your right. Soon you will come to a yield sign and a "Y" intersection. Look for wedding signs. Take the left leg of the "Y" intersection. DO NOT take the road to Murrieta! Go over a creek bed. Turn onto the first street on your left, Calle Roxanne. Look for wedding signs. At the top, make a left. You should see another wedding sign. Follow the parking signs. De Luz Road has no traffic lights and very few cross streets - it is just a pretty country drive.
DISCLAIMERS!!!
