I had been invited to a charity event by some members of my church and didn't want to go alone. I was joking with my girlfriend and told her to "find a date for me....and be sure he's got some sense." While we were still on the phone, she began texting Don who she had been trying to get me to meet for the past couple of months. He responded via text and then called me. I had seen his picture on Facebook before but told my friend, "he looks like he thinks he's cute.....why don't you date him?" She had been telling me for three months that I needed to meet him. We arranged to meet at the event. When I saw him, I noticed that he was tall and quite attractive. There was an ease to our conversation that I hadn't expected. He was also very much a gentleman and we began to really have a good time. At the end of the date he asked to see me again and I agreed.  We met for a second date over ice cream and again had great conversation and just a good time. We started dating regularly after that, but he claims I broke up with him twice (not really true...but I did put him on hold because I felt I had too much going on). His consistency and his kindness won me over and we continued seeing each other. Without a doubt, the best blind date ever!
