Donnie and Jackie met in high school.  They had a few friends in common but ran in separate circles.  After high school, Donnie moved to Orlando to pursue his culinary career.  Jackie moved to Mt. Pleasant and attended CMU.  First her first spring break, one of her friends suggested a trip to Orlando.  They would visit her friend Brent, and guess who Brent's roommate was...?  Totally oblivious to what the future would hold, Jackie and her friends went back to CMU after a few days hanging out with Brent, Donnie and their friends.  Looking back on the photos from that trip, it is funny to see that in every group photo, Jackie and Donnie are standing next to each other, but neither of them realized it!   Seventeen years would pass by with no contact between the two.  Donnie became a successful chef at Disneyworld and Jackie moved to New York City.  Until one day, Jackie was back in Michigan and ran into Donnie, who had recently moved back to Bay City.  He was walking out of the restaurant that Jackie and Ryan were heading into for lunch.  They spoke for a brief minute, just in passing, and went on with their day.  Anything could have prevented this moment of fate, a red light, traffic or a stop for gas.  When Jackie returned to NYC a few days later, she thought about Donnie and reached out on Facebook, mentioning that they should grab a drink next time she was home.  This opened a dialogue on Facebook, which lead to a phone number exchange, which led to a lot of texting and long distance phone calls.  Eventually Donnie decided to move to New York City.  They lived together in Queens for a year and now live in Westchester County.  Jackie is working in Manhattan and Donnie is working on opening his own restaurant, Smokey Beau's Rib Shack.  They have the cutest puppy ever, named Beau and they are excited for what the future holds.
