Sunday, May 1, 2016 was just like any other rainy Sunday.  Jackie was off that day and the couple was thinking of what they were going to do that day.   It was decided that despite the rain, they would go to a flea market in the city and then for a stroll in Central Park.  The flea market was a bust.  Due to the rain many vendors had either packed up early or not set up at all.  So, they headed to Central Park to their favorite spot, the sailboat pond and Alice in Wonderland statue.  After walking around for a bit, Donnie spotted a small trail that seemed to lead uphill.  He suggested they go see where the trail led.  It was a few steps up a winding path until they ended up in a small private wooded spot with a bench and a view of the sailboat pond.  It was here, under the umbrella, where he got down on one knee and asked Jackie to spend the rest of her life with him.  After some tears of joy, they decided to enjoy this moment for a while longer and continue their stroll, holding this joyful moment to themselves for a little while longer.
