Ricardo and I initially met in fall of 2008 when he was joining his Fraternity, we always knew of one another, and kept in touch via Greek affiliation or other networking groups.  During the spring /summer of 2014, I would see Rico serving at church, and was always nervous to say hi, but by the time I would try to make my way over, he would be gone!  It was not until one of my Sorors (Tracie) spoke so highly of him while we were talking on the phone one day that I gathered enough courage to say something to him, and we initially met up on his Founders Day Dec. 4, 2014.  When I walked in I was a nervous wreck, I ran into one of his frat brothers (Jacques) who has always been so outspoken and he yelled “Netta what’s up, who you here for?”  I told him “I’m looking for Rico”, and he volunteered to go and get him.  We sat and we talked for hours as if it was just him and I in the room.  After that evening, we talked daily, learned so much about each other, and became friends and connected in a way that I knew God made this connection between us.  The rest is history; we look forward to the many blessings God will give our union and us.
