We had a date night planned where we would finish up our last minute Christmas shopping and then go to the Phoenix Zoo and see the zoolights. As we were shoppong Mike was very distracted and kept insisting we have a nice dinner before we headed to the zoo. I kept telling him I was fine just getting some fast food of some sort but after awhie we ended up eating at the Rainforest Cafe. When we got to the zoo he was very interested in going down by the lake in the middle of all the lights. We were looking at the different lights arranged as animals and I was having him take pictures, when I turned around and saw that there was a gazebo close by that had the words "Will You Marry Me?" strung in lights. I just remember thinking how cute that was and telling mike to look at it becuase someone was getting engaged. When I turned to look at him and he was down on one knee I was in complete shock! I definitely wasn't expecting to be the person that was getting engaged. He had planned all this with a lady from the zoo and had her hide a bottle of champagne behind the wall in the gazebo. She took so many great pictures of us and afterwards we spent the night sipping champagne under all the beautiful lights and looking out at the water show. It was such a special and romantic night with my love :)
