Dec of 2004 Sam walked into my life.  I was working at the base Shoppette at the time as a cashier. The Shoppette is a place everyone went to buy smokes, snacks and alcohol. So you could imagine how busy it was.  I was working late one night and in walked Sam.  First thought in my head was man he is fine.  He walked over to the cooler, grabbed a 6 pack of Rolling Rock and knew he was a man after my own heart.  We chit-chatted and did a little flirting here and there.  He told me he just got stationed at the base.  I welcomed him and told him this was where you get everything so was sure I would be seeing much more of him, and off he went.  Man, did he make my night, esp knowing I was going to start seeing him come in there.  So a month or so went by and he would always come in to say hi to me and rent some movies to take back to the dorms.  The whole time I was wanting to ask him out but was too afraid of rejection.  Afterwards I learned Sam was planning on asking me out.

One day when I was working the Shoppette, a friend stopped by to see if I wanted to go out that night.  Some regulars who were there at the time asked if we wanted to accompany them later to a bar not far from there.  We both agreed and decided to meet up with them at the Shoppette before we headed out to the bars.  Once my friend and I pulled up in front of my work I saw the guys all get out of the car and low and behold Sam stepped out. These just happened to be Sam's roommates that asked us out.  I was so excited to see him. He later told me the guys mentioned to him they had plans to go hang out with the "The Shoppette Girl" and her friend.  So Sam jumped at the opportunity.  So from that night on we started hanging out and became close friends then boyfriend and girlfriend sometime later.  And now we are here!!

Once upon a time in California. A young man named Sam met a young women named April.  She sold him some beer and now we are here.
