The background is near the very top of the Smoky Mountains just inside the North Carolina line at Clingman's Dome.  It was extremely crowded everywhere we went and no parking where I had intended to propose.  I started to panic inside just a bit and get frustrated at the overflow of people and traffic.  Luckily, we found a small pull off with a view and no one was parked there.  So I got out of the vehicle and enjoyed the view for a minute.  During this time, one of my groomsmen prepared his camera to document the event.  When he gave me the signal I started to attempt to say something cheesy about how beautiful the mountains were and how it reminded me of our love.  It came out terrible but she understood what was going on.  I got down on one knee and tears started flowing instantly from Shelly.  That was a "yes".  And thus begins our story.
