After pretty much one year together I knew Alyssa was the one.  I remember realizing things seemed too good to be true and I didn't want to rush things because I thought my heart was overpowering my head and I had to remind myself that if she's really the one for me, this is a long journey and no need to rush.  With a subliminal hint to her and the world, I bought her diamond earrings for our first anniversary but knew that the next diamond would be the one that really counted and the proposal had to be perfect.  Fast forward three years and things only improved.  Getting to know Alyssa and the girls more and more every day I had no question I wanted them included in the proposal whether they knew it or not!  Not for a second did I think this was a risky move, but in retrospect it could have gone terribly wrong haha.  However I felt connected to the girls and believed they felt the same with me at this point.  So I did what I knew would be a new experince and thought would be something fun for all of us to remember forever.  With unsuspecting Alyssa's input, I booked a week long cruise for all of us from NYC to Bermuda!  Without complicating things beyond my control, I decided to bring Alyssa and all three girls to the front of the cruise ship top deck.  In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with no one else around but the sun and water, I dropped to one knee and shocked Alyssa and all three girls by asking if she would marry me right there.  I think you all know the answer.
