 | Most of you probably know a good deal about how we met. But just in case, here's a walk down memory lane...
Myself, along with a few other friends had started a Saturday night tradition of dinner and board games. They would be at my house, my brothers, and more frequently Mitch and Sarah's.
One Saturday in September, Mitch and Sarah were having everyone over. I arrived early with a friend of mine, my brother Justin, and his girlfriend. Eventually, Mitch got around to mentioning an old friend of his, that we had all gone to high school with, would be coming to dinner also. I remembered the name, but couldn't really place him. Tyler was a year a head of me, and a year below my brother-seemed like my brother and Tyler ran in more of the same crowds than we had.
Tyler joined the dinner party a bit later that evening, and we spent the whole evening talking. In fact, we were in Mitch's living room, with Mitch looking at his 300 gallon aquarium, until 2am.
The following weekend was another dinner party at Mitch and Sarah's. For the second week in a row, Tyler would be joining us. Low and behold, we spent the whole evening, and late into the morning, talking.
When leaving that night, I expected him to ask for my number; he didn't. I drove home, and decided I would get his number [thank you Facebook] and text him. Needless to say, he was a bit surprised.
Since then, everything has moved rather quickly. I moved in the following May, we decided to build our first home about six weeks later. It seems two adults and two dogs don't do that well in a third floor condo; although it was a very nice condo. The condo sold immediately, so we each moved home to wait out the building of the house. We were engaged August 11, 2012. Our home was finished January 31, 2013 and we moved in! The last few months have been full of wedding planning, house decorating, and being happy as can be!
The next few months will be full of lots more wedding appointments, like cake-tasting, wedding dress fittings, and all the fun details.
We so look forward to sharing our big day with all of our wonderful family and friends. |
