Bride

Okay...this is a little personal, but someone needs to hear it. Together, we made a commitment to be celibate until marriage. To put God first in all we do so that God can bless our union. We found that IT IS possible to have a fulfilling relationship void of sex while dating. As a matter of fact, we know for a fact that it can be just as rewarding when connected with someone who feels strongly about ensuring salvation and not compromising your position with the Father.

As an unmarried Christian man and woman, we are called to be concerned with the affairs of the Lord. In marriage, our interests are divided as we work to be pleasing to the Lord and our partner.

It should not be a situation where you have surrendered to abstinence prior to marriage and your partner is just going along for the ride because it’s what you want. Not only is that not fair, it leaves room for you both to fall to weakness in this area. Allow your conviction to energize you in making a decision that’s right for you. Perhaps your enthusiasm will act as an example in changing your partner’s heart. If not, are you willing to choose your relationship with God over your relationship with your boyfriend or girlfriend? Lastly, pray and ask the Father to guide and strengthen you in holding true to your commitment. Get your mind, body, and spirit in alignment with this edict. The enemy will try to trip you up at every turn. Stay focused and unmoved!

Plus, how much stronger and trusting will our relationship with each other be!
