Darin and I informally met during a mutual friend’s high school graduation party. I would tell you that it was love at first sight but that wouldn’t be completely accurate (and not because he wasn't attractive... because it's obvious that boo is fine :-)). You see a traumatic life event left me unapproachable and uninterested in a dating relationship. Nonetheless, after a telephone conversation or two, it was pretty apparent that he wasn’t like any other guy that I’d ever met…. I guess you can say I was SOLD to the highest bidder! Lol 8 years and 6 months later we remained an item. When Darin loves, he loves hard. He has shown me nothing short of respect, loyalty and dedication. If I REALLY gave you all the extent of our journey together you would either (a) think I was lying or (b) question his manhood. He is just that amazing!! He allows me to be ME and for that I would like nothing more than to become his wife! Our love is no mistake, it was orchestrated by God and I am excited to spend the rest of my life with this man.

I saw her graduation picture in a mutual friend's room (Patrice White aka Trice) and I asked Trice who she was. She told me her name was Jaleesa and so I asked her to put in a good word for me. Trice said that she would be at her upcoming graduation party, filled with anticipation I couldn’t wait to meet her in person. When I arrived, there were alot of people there including her Dad, which made me even more nervous. I was in the backyard when she arrived. She came around the corner and my heart skipped a beat. It was so ironic!!! It was like she already knew or Trice had already told her that I was interested. I was speechless at first but after the encouragement of her sister and everyone else I introduced myself. It was that day, in Trice backyard, that I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. When she was dissing me lol I fell in love with her smile and eyes. I found out later that they were contacts but to my surprise the natural color is even more beautiful.
