Many restaurants, historic buildings, art galleries, shops, museums and bars are located in downtown Lancaster.  If you arrive in Lancaster on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 5 p.m- 9 pm.  I highly recommend heading to downtown Lancaster for the city's monthly First Fridays- a celebration of local artists and musicians.  The link to the First Fridays website is lancasterarts.com. 

There is also a fine arts and crafts festival at Longs Park during Labor Day weekend.  The festival features artwork by artisans from around the world.  The link to the website is www.longspark.org/art.html
