I met Gil back in high school and we had the same group of friends. We had been friends for 7 years prior to dating. We met again 8 years ago at a friends birthday dinner and started dating the next day. We have known each other for 15 years, almost half of our lives. Gil has been there for the best and worst days of my life. Gil has supported me in all my life choices as I changed careers and grew as a person. I have been grateful everyday since we started dating for the moment back in high school that he asked me to Junior Prom. If it wasn't for that invitation, we would not be here today. I don't know what path we would have taken if not for that one, nor where we would have ended up. But I am glad we are here where we are.

I knew right away that Vanessa was the only one for me. She knew it at the time too, but she may have been less than thrilled with the idea. All through out the years before we got together, though we may have been on different paths, there was never any doubt in my mind where we would end up. She is the true light in my life, and on this special day, we will make it official.
