Bride

It was a day like any other day. I went to work and was going to go to dinner with my love that evening. The only difference was it was the 14 year anniversary of our junior prom date. According to Gil he was going to be gone a work a project for 3 weeks and that is why he wanted to go to dinner. We ended up at the Pomona Mining Co. the same place where we had our jr. prom. We were seated by a window with a great view and had a lovely dinner. After dinner Gil excuses himself and returns 5 minutes later. We begin to have a conversation when the background music changes and "Time After Time" by Cindy Lauper begins to play. This was the first song that Gil had dedicated to me back in high school and has been our sound ever since. From that moment all went fuzzy but in a good way. I remember Gil standing up and telling me, "you know what happens next". He walked around the table to where I was seated and got down on one knee. From there I only remember the ring and me nodding. I later had to ask him what he said because all I heard was "this is where it started... Vanessa Fernandez... be my wife".

Groom

Pinky and Ambar helped me with the proposal years before I actually did it. Ambar would covertly find out Vanessa's ring size, while Pinky would help me translate a speech asking Vanessa's parents for permission to marry their daughter. I wanted to propose to her on May 6th, the date of our Junior Prom. I somehow managed to get her to dress up fancy without arousing her suspicions. Late into our dinner at the Pomona Valley Mining Company, the venue of our Junior Prom, I had the server play Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" over the speakers. She was taken by surprise when I dropped to one knee and took out the ring. She didn't even say "Yes", she just nodded her head (I made sure she meant Yes afterward).
