It was a crisp evening at the good ol' Black Bear Tavern in New Haven, CT. Laura was out celebrating her birthday with friends, while Vinny was celebrating his promotion. It was a crowded Thursday night, just like any other college night downtown. As Laura was weaving in between people trying to make her way back to her table of friends from the bathroom she walked into Vinny, throwing him into the bar. As Vinny turned around to yell at the "guy" he thought ran into him, Laura quivered with fear that she pissed off the wrong person. With a not so subtle "Sorry, It's my birthday" comment to try and ease over the fact that she threw a guy twice her size into the bar, she won over Vinny's temper as he offered to buy her a shot.
