Bride

We knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together but actually getting engaged brought that reality to a whole new level.  Lyndon flew out to Dallas and took me out to "our" restaurant for a lovely dinner.  I had a feeling he was going to ask me, but I hadn't expected him to drop to one knee within the restaurant.  As I listened to his kind words, I was aware of the hush that had fallen.  When I responded "YES!" the restaurant erupted with cheers and many strangers took pictures which they have since sent us.

What I hadn't known was what had transpired earlier that evening before we left to go to dinner.  Lyndon was in his room feeling slightly nervous, so he was on his knees praying when he heard a knock at the door.  To his surprise he looked up to see William standing there.  William said, "This is a special night for you and I thought you would like to drive my Mama to the restaurant yourself.  Since you don't have a car here are the keys to mine!"  Lyndon was so touched by his thoughtfulness and when the story was relayed to me I teared up. Knowing that my son was supporting this, brought more peace and joy than you can imagine...
