I love planning a wedding, and I've just started! I'm a planner, so this is fun for me! I've gotten some great ideas, and started purchasing stuff already!  We've basically decided on our color scheme, with something we might add.  We're doing a dark purple and a lavender.  I love the monochromatic look.  We're also going to have some black and white accents added throughout our "theme."  One color I'm deciding on still is the pinkish purple.  I think it will add in nicely with the flowers.  The bridesmaid dresses are the dark purple color.  I already know what I want for my bridesmaids bouquets, and have a few ideas for my bouquet, I just have to make a final decision!  We decided on the style of our cake, but I'm not giving that away.  A few people know already, but it's a really cool, different style, and I'm excited.  Everyone better eat the cake, b/c it's not cheap!      

We've also decided on our centerpieces.  I'm diy-ing them.  I'm in the process of putting a few things together for it, and trying it out different ways to see what I like best.  I've also decided how I want the head table set up...thanks to PartyLite! :)  Again, a few idea variations of my setup, I just have to make a final decision. 

I also designed my Save the Dates myself.  I already ordered them b/c I got a great deal...but I won't be mailing those out until end of November, early December. 

 

Things are coming along nicely, and I'm proud of how much I'm getting done, all while working full time, plus tutoring, and going to school! Go me!

 

 

so, there is still more than a year until the wedding, but wedding planning is already underway! I have a shopping addiction, so refraining from buying wedding stuff has been difficult! but, I have been buying some things! We've decided on colors and a theme.  Black and White with dark purple accents.  We decided to do our invitations ourselves.  I bought the template from JoAnn fabrics, and even found matching place cards!  I've bought some other cute odds and ends to match the theme.  I have some great ideas, and can't wait to start putting everything together.  I've been working on getting things in order, and figuring out what companies we want to use, etc. 

Chris is even excited, and he never gets excited about anything! I'm lucky to have some awesome friends who have been helping me plan, and have been giving me some great ideas!
