Several of our friends know how we got engaged, because they were there! Earlier in the day we went to the Cubs/Sox game.  The evening we went to our friends 4th of July Party. The boys were starting to blow off the fireworks.  Chris asked me to go into the street to light a firework, which scared me...I get nervous doing that! He went to go give me a lighter and proposed instead! Completely caught me off guard! Almost everyone knew but me, our friends sister  even had a bottle of champagne ready!
