Our engagement day was unexpected for both of us. We'd talked about getting married for a few months and knew we wanted to spend our lives together. 

Sam had secretly gone ring shopping. He had the ring sent o Mitchelle's home in NJ. When the ring was delivered to him, he decided he wouldn't wait and would ask Myrv to marry him right away. He made an unexpected trip home.

When he arrived home, Myrv found it odd he was home at that time of day but he told her he'd forgotten something and came back to get it. While she was getting ready to go to work that evening, he waited until she'd gotten out of the shower. While she was doing her hair, he came into the room and started to tell her how much he loved and appreciated her. 

He then got on one knee, took out the ring and asked for her hand in marriage. Completely shocked, she accepted that the ring be placed on her finger but till this day has never said "yes....."
