Caleb had been telling Ashley that they were taking a trip up to Boone on Friday, March 10th. He told her NOT to ask any questions about it, so obviously she figured this would be the day. On the couple's regular Tuesday date-night that week, Caleb told Ashley that they were going on a regular date so she wouldn't suspect a thing. He took her to the Davidson College Campus to walk to the campus coffee shop but stopped her in the middle of campus where he had set up two chairs, a table, and coffee ready right there. She was thinking, "Oh how sweet! He's really going over the top for our normal date-night, how nice." Yep. She didn't realize what was happening until he pulled the box out of the coffee bag and got down on one knee. She immediately said yes! Then popped out the famous professional photographer, Lindsay White, and she gave the couple an engagement session right there on campus! (This explains why the couple is giggling in most pictures) Sneaky Mitch White was video-taping as well, but he decided to not pop out and just remain casual behind a bush. The rest of "normal date-night" followed along (backwards) with the couples first date...Brick House for dinner and then Waterbean Coffee again. However, this time Caleb arranged an engagement party at Waterbean and once again, Ashley was completely suprised! The night was filled with a lot of fun, excitement, and giggling.
