Their mutual friend Jules had just recently been engaged. The two sat at Jules' bar, catching up on life and recent events. As they cheers her big news with shots of Jameson, the two had a genuine giggle over their opinions of marriage. See, they had both been seperately married once before and agreed it was a terrible idea. 

Chase and Whitney were friends amongst a larger group that regularly hung out downtown. This group could be found any given day of the week playing a casual sport, walking a bar crawl or attending a game. But Chase and Whitney had a friendship apart from their social circle. Their pasts and experiences created a current relationship full of heartfelt laughs, ugly truths and inspiring futures. Wanting more for each other, sparked wanting more for themselves. 

Chase knew that Whitney was the one. He didn't need her approval nor her opinion on the matter. She was all he was ever going to need. And not that Whitney didn't fancy Chase, but it would take a little convincing! He made many attempts at daily conversations and long hang out opporunities. Which is all it took for her. Quality time, away from the chaos and in their own little world created a space between them that felt like home. They were two perfectly good people, doing better for the people who knew them best.
