| | | | Here's me and my Dad doing one of our favorite things in life...hiking in the mountains together in Glacier National Park. My Dad has been there for me for longer than I can remember. He has been my example of a man of honor, integrity, strength, character, and great, GREAT love. He has filled my life with so much laughter, wisdom, and joy - from when I was a little girl running and laughing wildly from him, playing Hot Rod Harry outside or trying to hold him down and tickle him with my Mom & sister. He has provided guidance and support, allowed me to make mistakes, and always, always made me feel safe in the world. I finally found a man who I felt was worthy of my Dad's respect, and who I was proud to introduce to my Dad...and he has welcomed and embraced Damon with open arms. I could not be more grateful, and I could not love my Dad more. He has been my heart and my rock throughout my life, and I could not be more blessed than I am to have him as MY DAD. |

 | | | This is me & my Mom on our way to one of our most favorite places to go together...Glacier National Park in Montana. This was a pre-dawn self-portrait, which is typical for my Mom, because she is adventurous and doesn't let anything stop her! My Mom taught me to be a strong, independent, adventurous, unstoppable woman...not from the words she said to me throughout my life, but from watching her example. My Mom's determination and perserverance amaze me on a regular basis - she is the most creative and generous person I have ever known. My Mom...just saying the words makes my heart swell. From the time I was a little girl, my Mom was always there, the center of my world. No matter what else was or wasn't happening in the universe, I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was sooo very very loved. My Mom makes everything fun - she's always laughing at something, and often it's herself. My Mom has, in her typical way, gone out of her way to make Damon feel special, welcomed, and included in our family. She has reached out to Damon and forged a relationship with him, which just adds to the infinite list of reasons that I love and appreciate her, with all my heart. If I had a magic wand and could have any Mom I wanted, I literally would not change a thing about her...I am blessed beyond imagination to have such an authentic, caring person as My Mom. |
