Bride

On August 14th, Bradley asked me out on a very special date. He insisted on driving and would not let me know where we were headed. (Which drove me nuts, by the way) He even went as far as to write out directions for me to read to him. Without location names. As I am a horrible navigator, we got lost along the way but eventually made it to our location. The Raven. A beautiful little bar, lined with books and the smell of fresh coffee. Two of my favorite things! I felt like Belle receiving her own library, but better! As we sat at our table, I was overwhelmed with choices. Alcohol, food, coffee, and of course, any book you could possibly want to read. We ended up taking our time but eventually took off on another adventure. Did i mention that i could get lost in a paper bag? we got lost again but eventually showed up at our next destination. a nature trail, it was about a two mile hike in total. Along the way i kept getting distracted by little frogs, but Brad insisted that we keep on track. I did manage to catch one though and held on to him for a good portion of our walk. as we adventured i started noticing little tree house signs next to every trail name we took. I brought this up to brad who of course denied knowing of any tree house. When we reached the center of the trail we found a beautiful tree house with an even more beautiful view. I was exploring the edges and peeking over when i turned around and there he was. Down on one knee asking me to marry him, as rose petals fell from an opened ring box. So cute! After collecting myself and saying yes we realized how dark it had gotten and started our venture out. Well, neither one of us knew about the near by train. Just our luck it came by and scared the gamer instinct out of us. We jumped into the bushes to avoid getting hit by a train that was nowhere near us. After having a laugh at ourselfs' we finished our journey home from our happy and romantic evening. So romantic, much love.

After what seemed like forever and a day, I had finally made the plans. Epic date, check. Ring, check, forest trail, check. Directions that got us lost, check. Girlfriend who has no idea what was going to happen, double check. No seriously, she had no idea. So after I gave her the directions, we started on our journey to the great unknown (for her, anyway) After about 20 minutes of driving, I realized I had made an error; my directions were written in a way that only I would understand. and I'm proud of that. so we finally get to our dinner locale, a nice little cafe filled with books, coffee, spirit, and food. As we headed toward the car after eating, I laughed to myself a couple of times, knowing things were starting to get back on time. I'm pretty sure she still thinks it was on accident we got lost on the second half of the trip. I needed it to be dark. so we get to the nature trail after taking like 5 different highway exits, with the sun already set, we began our walk. I knew the tree house was in the center, so I took us the long way, while the last of the light was fading from the sky. As we approached the tree house, she stepped into it first, giving me the prefect time to snag a couple of pebbles off to the side. We sat and talked for  a little bit, while I threw a pebble off the side of the tree house when she wasn't  looking to simulate things moving just out of view of our phone lights. With the last three pebbles, I threw them over the opposite side of the tree house, to get her to investigate. While she was peering over the edge, I knelt down and got the box ready, waiting for her to turn back and face me. Rose petals fell from the box as I opened it, and her eyes lit up like supernovas. Time stood still, up until she said yes. Overall, 10 out of 10, would do again
