Bride

In the tail end of 2010, Jessica traveled to Seattle from NYC to visit her parents (who had recently moved from SLC) and after her visit, she felt that Seattle was the perfect place for her to live. Summer soon arrrived in 2011, and her Aunt Karen and Uncle Moe came to visit. It turned out that their best friends, Larry and Karma, lived not too far away from her parents' house, so they were invited to a nice gathering in Enumclaw, WA. As the front door opened, Jessica was immediately introduced to Daniel, their middle son. Jessica and Daniel started with a little small talk in the beginning, but that was about it. However, as the evening progressed, it became very clear that a scheme was occurring. When all were asked to sit down to dinner, Daniel was "conveniently" asked to sit next to Jessica.

Later in the evening, as Jessica walked down the hallway, she heard Daniel playing the piano. She looked in, and saw that he was sitting with his nephew, Desmond, letting him plunk away on the ivories. Jessica saw a David Lanz Christmas piano book sitting on the piano and immediately lit up, saying that she learned all of his Christmas music as a child and had seen him in concert. Daniel and Karma immediately replied the same thing! It was quite the coincidence, which was NOT planned. So, Jessica was inspired to start playing the piano, as Daniel had other music sitting on the bench. She would play through something, then Daniel would play through something. Daniel and Jessica continued engaging in muic and conversation and, before they knew it, an hour had flown by. They finally walked back into the living room to join everyone else. As the night finally came to a close, and Jessica and her parents were ready to leave, Daniel quietly asked for her number, which she gave it to him. Less than a year later, they were engaged!
