Our wedding will be at St. James Cathedral located at 804 9th Ave, Seattle, WA 98104. Parking is available in the O'Dea High School lot off of Boren Ave or on the streets in front of and surrounding the cathedral.

Traffic generally isn't very bad on Saturdays, but make sure to be aware of any construction projects on I-5, I-90, or WA-520. The 520 drawbridge closes a few times a day for 30 minutes for boat traffic. The 520 bridge is also a toll road, so you may want to take I-90 instead, if you're arriving from the East.

The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is the closest main airport to Seattle, but (as the name implies) it's between Seattle and Tacoma just off of I-5 (16 miles south of St. James). There are plenty of car rental services, along with a light rail that goes from the airport into downtown Seattle, which has an excellent bus system. Carpooling is encouraged.

There are many hotels in the Seattle and Bellevue area, some more affordable than others, but mostly just bed & breakfasts on Capitol Hill (if that suits your fancy).

The reception will take place on Mercer Island in the middle of Lake Washington, east of Seattle. The only way to get there is via I-90. Take the Island Crest Way exit and the Congregational Church will be near the top of a hill on the right side of the road.
