Since I have been with Roger, my life is more challenging yet rewarding than ever before and I couldn’t do it without him.

My position at Community Catalysts of CA/ Veterans Community Services has grown to Regional Director which comes with enough responsibilities to create a whole other website in itself.  I also hold a second position as a CARF surveyor. This gives me the opportunity to travel all over the world while accrediting other Rehabilitation Facilities.

Roger compliments my life in so many ways.  He is supportive of me, he handles many of the household duties and he does simple things such as picking me up to break away from the office and go to lunch. Roger is also my best friend. And, when we are not working, we are traveling. I cherish the time we have together!

I am also on the verge of my dissertation and in all of my spare time, I will eventually complete my Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership and Change.

My daughter, Christie will be 21 in April, 2012. She is a beautiful, intelligent and caring individual. She is attending Mt. St. Mary’s in Los Angeles and in her spare time, she performs in the theater. I am so proud of her!

I seem to be going through the second part of my life and I love it. I admit it wasn't all that great when it started, but now that I found my Sherie my life feels complete.

Sherie is truly a my partner in life. Since being with Sherie, she compliments all that I am and allows me to be the man that I know that I am. I have a new job (well since I have been with Sherie) with DHS, Customs and Border Protection as a InfoSec (Information Security Specialist). I am part of a 12 member Tactical Radio and Communication Training Team (My grandfather would be really proud of me and my radio work). We work with people who vigilantly protect our borders and since we are a specialized team we are called on to assist Border Patrol, Customs, Office of Air Marines as well as Secret Service, DOL, NASA, FDA, USDA, FPS, specialized interagency taskforces and many others. I find the work fulfilling and challenging. I feel that I am doing my part to keep our nation safe.

I finished my MBA in Technology Management and now working on my Doctorate in Business Administration in Leadership and Organizational Change. I am on the verge of my dissertation and soon will be called Dr. Ibarra (just trying to keep the name Ibarra synonymous with excellence).

I have a great son who is a great academic and will (with the grace of God) go to a really prestigious school such as Stanford or MIT. He wants to be an engineer like his grandfather and his great grandfather and that makes me proud.
